Mystery Ring

What does it do? People who've used it what has been your experience.  I just found one and I'm on the 49th floor of a 50 floor dungeon and i started from floor one.  You can understand why i am reluctant to try it here.

-Well nvm i beat Griffe no problem.  BUT he dropped something and i wasnt able to pick it up it went a cut scene. DA HELL!

I've heard they make chest items rare while you have the ring equipped.
I haven't tried it out though, so no guarantees that's actually the case :P

I tried it and couldn't really tell what it was doing.  The effects are supposed to be random though.
