Epic Menu Lag Bug

It seems you tracked down the epic menu lag bug to multiple monitor systems 6 months ago.  Now I bought the game, and would like to play it normally, but shutting off one monitor screws up my desktop resulting in me having to reset everything if I do so.  This can take 30 mins.  This work-around isn't acceptable.

Is there any progress on a patch to fix this?

I imagine not - they're not the developers, simply the translators/localisers, and the actual developer has, as far as I still know, quit development of games because he couldn't earn enough with FS.

That is unfortunate.  I guess I will never be able to properly play this then :/
