Seriously, why "Fortune Summoners"?
« on: May 14, 2012, 03:47:50 PM »
I've played the game and finished it off twice (because it's so *deliciously* good) and I kept on thinking why the title has "Fortune Summoners" The only one that summons something in the game is only Stella Mayberk and no more else. Arche Plumfield and Sana Poanet never does the "summoning" thing. It keeps me thinking what the H made you guys name it that way.

Edit: and also, the game left me hanging. I was expecting something more after beating the dark witch, like scotshold, and more bonus quests after the bossfight. i hate it that it reverts back to the time before you enter the school, after clearing the game. i am looking forward for a sequel or an expansion pack (best) for this one.

If by "you guys" you mean Carpe Fulgur, well, the name of the original Japanese version is also Fortune Summoners, in English. No translation was needed. The only thing that was translated/localized was the subtitle. Literally translated it would have been something like "Fortune Summoners: Arche's Elemental Stone" but they localized it as "Fortune Summoners: The Secret of the Elemental Stone". No idea as to where LizSoft came up with "Fortune Summoners", though.

My guess is the loot and the treasure, lets not forget dear Arche's thirst for Adventure! and even more Adventureā„¢!!
Fortunate enough to survive all these deadly encounters and obtain even ore fortune as the spoils of battle
Just my 2 cents

Word Salad Title, though this might be a bit of a stretch to call it that.

I was playing yesterday and I think I have found the answer..

Proceed to the Minasa-Ratis School's Library, switch control to Sana Poanet, then read some books.

It seems that on some books on the game, you cannot read them if you're controlling Arche, since she likes only reading picture books.

Yes, the Summoners part of the title comes from the fact that the spells in this game are all technically elemental summons.

I admit I've never asked MEL in detail where the Fortune part of the title comes from, though. :V
