Swordsmanship Basics

The warrior woman (btw the text about the armor is hilarious
) who teaches you the basics of fighting says you could practice chaining together thrust, slash, wide slash, in that order (the "in that order" is what she even says). Is it just me or is this wrong? i can't for the sake of my life chain slash and wide slash, but wide slash and then slash works perfectly. an thrust can be chained into both of them. so is it just me or is the tutorial text incorrect?

The tutorial text is incorrect, or at least premature. In Arche's basic move set, wide slash chains into slash, but not vice versa. Chaining slash into wide slash requires a move that you learn at higher levels.

Thrust-slash-wideslash make your attacks reach your enemies despise the knockback.
It's not really fluid as they're not really chaining together, but it's still useful in the early levels.

Alternating the uppercut with Wide Slash also tends to work fine, and uppercut out of running works well as a fight starter.
