Slowdown and crashes

SilentCaay:
Well, I just installed FS on my new build, played for over two hours and no problems there, either. I'll list all my specs for both builds just incase it helps narrow things down.

Old Build:
Win XP Pro SP3
Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHz
Sapphire Radeon HD 3650
Foxconn mobo (would have to look up the exact model)
2x512MB RAM
WD 320GB HDD
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi
Dual monitor setup, non-Eyefinity compliant (very rarely I would get the dual monitor lag bug but only like 1 out of 5 times playing)
Logitech Rumblepad 2

New Build:
Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i5-2500k @ 3.3Ghz
XFX Radeon HD 6870
ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen3
2x4GB G.Skill DDR3 1600
Crucial M4 64GB SSD
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi
Dual monitor setup, Eyefinity compliant but not enabled (no lag bug yet but I only played the one session)
Logitech Rumblepad 2

Hey, I'm getting crashes too.

Here's my DXDIAG:

I'm still optimistically waiting on a fix for this.

Hmmm, I'm curious...

See, my old hard drive - a Seagate Momentus 7200RPM 500GB - ended up failing on me, forcing me to return back to a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 on a 120GB 5400RPM WD Scorpio.

On the Seagate: I kept on crashing before I got to the cave, period.
On the WD: I finally made it all the way to the second save point trying to speed run from the beginning of the game on a fresh install.

Windowed/Medium settings on both counts. Barely was able to save before I alt-tabbed to another window, came back to find all input frozen, so I just quit there. Gonna go and do further testing tonight after I wrap up some classwork.

I might be barking up the wrong tree here, but I figure it might be worth mentioning...? Not that I expect people to test this, but...

edit So I played two more hours straight, no crashing, prologue finally clear. So, if anyone really, really wants to play Fortune Summoners, try making a partition and perform a clean install of Windows dedicated solely to Fortune Summoners? ;)

edit 2 There's no way this isn't stable after playing for three more hours. Having quite a bit of fun with the game. :)

This might not be worth testing but...
I've been able to bypass crashing when leaving the academy by spamming F1 before leaving.
Changing zones without spamming f1 beforehand as well as death(you cant spam F1 on the game over screen) will result in a crash.
Spamming F1 lets me proceed up till entering the cave where this method no longer works.

Since this is ridiculous, only bother trying this if you crash EXACTLY when trying to leave the academy. This method stops functioning when entering the cave.(or what looks like a cave)

If anyone else is able to reproduce this result then I will actually be more confused.

Edit:Spammed F1 for longer periods let me proceed through the cave.(Crashed after the cart cause I did not expect a load.)
Also noted is that the area before the academy, taking the top path and not kill the two snakes in the pit, results in the crash occurring when attempting to leave the classroom. instead of leaving the academy.

My dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/SA7aYWd4

In short:

Win 7 64-bit Ultimate
Motherboard: EX58-UD5
Video card: GTX 560 Ti (1GB)
CPU: i7 920
6 GB Tri-Channel DDR3 RAM
750w PSU (Coolermaster or something I think...  probably.)
I have 3 hard drives, and have tried running the game from all 3.  (And they're all separate.)

My issue is the game crashes on transitions.  I used to get severe slowdown, but that apparently was because I had the setting "VRAM Use" to "Use all."  I changed it to "Normal" and the game runs perfectly fine (Aside from the crashing...  Hehe.)    Graphics quality is high and the game is being ran in fullscreen mode.  Crashes happen at random transitions, no noticeable patterns.  Please tell me a fix is coming soon -- the game seems too much fun for me to be stuck forever!
