Admittedly, I have not (but want to have) played the Atelier series.

But I've played GrimGrimoire.

And I /hated/ GrimGrimoire.

You can't let one bad game sour your opinion of a whole company, or we'd never play any video games ever. I don't think Neptunia was very good, but N1 has done other good stuff, and they at least try.

And Neptunia was made by the guys who made Record of Agarest War, which is a game I actually put quite a lot of hours into. So you take the good with the bad.

I'm mostly joking, though, because N1 also published Sakura Taisen in America, and that game, while being cliche and typically not my bottle of sake, was pretty awesome at the time.

That, and the company's games are top-notch. I openly admit to buying P:CIRBTH? simply because it was N1 and Disgaea. I sort of regret it (good game, but...), but still.

Also, I just found out that the Vita is going to have D3 on it.

WANT LEVEL HAS SKYROCKETED.

Woah, woah, woah... Throwing around insults like that might get the game delayed indefinitely. Don't worry, CF, we don't think you're like EA or Starbucks. A business, tried and true, sure, EA/Starbucks, no. LOL

I used those examples because they were the first that came to mind when thinking "what businesses have US people heard of?" Since, as my third strangely-unremarked example showed, using local Singaporean examples will not help illustrate the point.

Also, I really do think CF is like EA or Starbucks or whatever in the sense of being A Business. Whether they have other traits in common in addition to being A Business is not something I am privy to.

This is how I understood you when I read the thread earlier and I'm inclined to agree.  CF does a lot of things I like: their choice of games, their stance on DRM, etc.  However they are a business like any other.  As much as they are bringing these games out so non Japanese speakers can enjoy them they are also doing it to make money.  Otherwise they would be a fan translation group.   There is nothing wrong with that though.  And I think CF is a great company/business and I wish them luck in all their future endeavors and can't wait to buy FS.

Don't worry, I understood what you meant as I'm sure everyone else did. Gotta have fun sometimes, though, hehe.

Alright. It is officially the 30th of January in my state. That means it should be available sometime with the next 24 hours. I can't wait to click purchase.

I think that we should expect things from Carpe Fulgur, but not too much. I wouldn't be too hard on them unless there was a darn good reason. They're a business, but we're lucky to actually have someone who cares about doujin games. They don't do what they're doing to make money, even though they do it to make a living out of something they do, they did it out of an interest in Doujin games. And almost nobody else in the gaming industry cares about us and to cater to such a market.

And mostly jokes and half serious things and melodramatic looking silly things. I'm just rambling on repeating things.

As long as they have good faith, we should have good faith. I confuse myself. I'm going to shut up now.

Well, we will see it in 3 to 4 hours. That is the release window for Steam games.

Well Valve usually don't meet the time exactly. But they usually  get it done within an hour. so I expect to see it during the next hour. Unless, there is another delay and SpaceDrake is still trying to figure how he should explain it to us ^^

Yeah it looks like steam has updated for the day.  I guess we should be expecting another delay.

Edit:  Hopefully your right Tech7
