Lose all my Pix after going to the Adventurer's Guild

After I go to any of the dungeons, and come back successfully I seem t loose all my Pix. I played this game before but my computer's hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall Recettear on a new computer. This is the the first time this has happened to me. Any ideas why this is happening?

If you don't have much money, you're probably wiping out your savings by hiring the adventurers.

Louie will go with you even if you can't afford the full cost of hiring him.
