Paying my respects
« on: August 20, 2011, 11:39:47 AM »
It just so happens that some time ago, I got the opportunity to get a debit card with an image of my choice on it. At first, I had a different thing in mind, but I quickly ditched it and ended up favoring Recettear. (rather hard for RT not to be a good fit in the context) Nothing groundbreaking or jaw dropping, but it did the job and actually caught the attention of the lady I'd worked with. :P
There are a few differences, for the sheer fancy of having them.

This is the result. (or, just the image, here.)

EGS can be proud they'd messed up my life to a disturbing degree. /blush

I'd recommend further blurring the numbers. I can make out quite a few of them.

But... Wow, nice. How'd you get the custom image?

Cute to a terrifying degree.
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

I wasn't too worried, as they gave different impressions from what's really there, but yah, I shouldn't leave any room.

About the custom image, the bank actually had an offer that allowed using custom images on certain cards and it cost me like €25 extra, compared to the standard version. I created the image from scratch, but haven't published the original "as is," to keep control over what happens to it.
Recette's pose was inspired by a sprite pose I once saw somewhere "out there." :P

Cute to a terrifying degree.
Haha, thanks~

That's pretty cool, though I might consider using some of the actual images just because my own artistic sense is lacking.

I wish my bank had this option, allthough 25 is a bit much for something that probably costs them less than a dollar to print.

We are seriously going to share this with EGS, if you don't mind, they'd get a kick out of it.

Yah, 25's definitely mean; my consolation is that I get to boast, while my card lasts.

I don't mind at all. :]
