Save Data and PS3 Controller
« on: July 30, 2011, 02:56:32 PM »
I apologize in advance for my ignorance and lack of knowledge in computers

I've been looking around in these forums and Steam forums for a solution to transferring my non-Steam demo save data to my Steam full version game. I've successfully transferred data before with Recettear, but for the Chantelise demo folder, I don't see the save.dat that some people have. My OS is Windows 7.

Also, I've been looking a tiny bit to see if I can get my wireless PS3 controller to play with. From what I've found, I believe I have to download a driver. Can anyone verify this for me?

Any help is appreciated :)

Check the LocalStore folder on your computer.

Yes, you'll need to download the MotionJoy drivers to use a PS3 gamepad with your PC.

Okay, thanks for verifying :)

Also, I searched "LocalStore" in C: and in the Chantelise Demo folder but it didn't find a LocalStore folder. Did I do something wrong back when I downloaded the demo?

The local store folder is a hidden directory. The poster of this thread
http://www.carpefulgur.com/forum/index.php?topic=1427.0
had the same problem and was able to figure it out. I don't now where you can make hidden directories visible in Windows 7, google gives me that result http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial151.html

Hi Simpsonhead,

i just managed to get the PS3 Controller to work, you need to use MotionInJoy Driver,

However there's lots of trouble about the digital signature in Window7 64bit, They wont recognize your device/driver file.

This video teach you how to do that

Happy Gaming!

Actually, I remember the owners spending the money to get the drivers signed, so we don't need to Disable the Driver Checking Thingy.

I like playing Portal 2 with a PS3 controller. :P
TG: and a ruined cake! it was going 2 be so delish, but no
TG: it was claimed by the cruel and unforgiving sands of lopan
