Well the main reason Steam wouldn't sell a game like this is because they don't believe it'll sale enough to be profittable to them. Now that we're showing them that there's demand for ths type of game maybe it'll change their mind just a little. They do look at past examples of games that sold well in that genre in making their decisions. I know I'm purchasing the game this weekend, hopefully the sale isn't over but if it is oh well more money to the devs.

I wish I knew the actual sales number behind this. But I'm glad to see it this far up.
Also, I didn't have quite the money, but I just had to scrap every penny I could find together just so I could buy this!

Sadly, since valve almost always NDA's the sales data,we'll very prolly never know...
But to put it a slightly bit more into perspective, the top sellers list is actually not set by the number of sales, but by profit made.

Iunno about other "Doujins",but at least the sale should give some leverage for CF to deliver all subsequent EGS games. But as long as we get more good JP games,it's fine by me!
As for the sale,it's a pre-order discount,so it should be on 'till release date(in a week or so),so you should be in the clear.

While I must admit I would prefer a hard copy with some goodies to go with it, the steam version is the way to go!

Kudos on the Top Sellers list  :D

Dropped to #4, behind 1:Worms, 2:Mafia 2, and 3:Magic- Duels of the Planeswalkers. Interesting how the only huge blockbuster title on there is Mafia 2.

Featured on the front page thusly. Go Go Recettear!

Wow its a couple tabs back and didn't notice but wow... just wow.

I am thinking someone at Valve might be an otaku or just really really liked the demo.

Made my first sale to a friend. (Yayifications.)

Technically it would be my second copy of the game, since I gifted it to him while he promised to pay me back. Since he already owes me money and I know where he lives, if he fails to pay up I shall go over to his house with a box, possibly made of cardboard.

It always ends in a box.

It has now also slid onto the gamersgate top list.  So it is obvious a fair number of people are making this their quickest purchase in a while  ;D

I'm gonna pre-order this, once i put more munnies into my bank account, XD. The company of heroes 75% deal on steam pretty much almost bankrupt my little pocket.

It wasn't exactly a quick purchase in my case. See, at the moment I'm somewhat strapped for cash—maybe I should open an item shop?—so I tried to resist. First I tried to resist playing the demo. Well, that didn't work... After reaching the end, well, let's just say that resisting the purchase didn't work either, so... I just pre-ordered it.

This game is way too adorable!

Edit: Seems a friend is going to buy it too! Yay?

You see,I had a friend pre-purchase recettear for me cause my virtual CC card was busted.
Now he owns a copy, courtesy of yours truly...But now,I wonder...

Did I force him to purchase this,or was >I< the one (willingly)forced to purchase it?@@

Yayifications!
