I'll be surprised if it goes through at all at this point

spacedrake said it's not a matter of "if" anymore, but a matter of "when"
on the other hand, he has said a lot of things about P4 which ended up being wrong

So, apparently Idolm@ster is now a thing in English... won't last long though. Namco Bandai thinks it can ask the same absurd prices here as they can in Japan. Cute, if you ask me.

At the very least, this is one less possibility for P4, though :p

*sigh* Why as a iOS port? And i don't think this will work very well on a touch screen, but i could be wrong. If it were on the PSN i'd probably buy Groovy Tunes, even though i already own the original (and Honey Sound) and understand mostly what's going on.

are you sure they are specifically localized in british english, or is the american version also in british english? it would make sense since the series is set in britain.

@European discussion: i doubt they work on a european release of something. They are just 3 people. And as amazing as spacedrake is with translating from japanese to english, i doubt he can also translate that stuff to german, french, italian and spanish.

@Several products discussion: It is several software products, so it won't be an additional anime or the like (unless it's part of the game, like in Idolm@ster Shiny Festa *dreams and then sighs in resignation*). If it's several games, i do not know, but i guess. Considering this post:

Actually, how about I make it a bit more interesting. "Project Four" has involved more than one unrelated software products, tangential to the "main" project. Well, okay, they're all 'related' in a sense under p4 but

The tldr is, the scope of the wider "project" and making it happen has been... substantial, looking back on it. Like I keep saying - once we can finally talk about it, and what was involved in making it happen, the reasons for the delays and the inability to discuss it all will be very, very obvious.

And it should, I think, be a case of "once" or "when", not "if", at this point.

I think it's a main game and some spin off(s) from the same franchise, but not a direct sequel as in Trails in the Sky.

i'm still dreaming:

it's Idolm@ster, and they have to work on Idolm@ster 2, the 3 Shiny Festa games and Dearly Stars

*sigh* I'm afraid that will never happen tough. At least my japanese is making progress

General Discussion / Re: Why has Falcom abandoned the PC?
« on: February 22, 2013, 04:23:23 AM »
Falcom left the PC market because they lost their distributor, without a way to distribute their PC games properly + their games sold better on PSP it wasn't financially viable to them to keep releasing PC games. From what I have heard Zwei 2 bombed hard as well.

Well, i doubt the will develop new games for the PSP, and the Vita is currently doing very very bad. I doubt a Vita game will do nearly as good as a PSP game, since the PSP was a huge success in Japan.

Well that's different 'cause we know what they're doing, and we know why you're waiting for them, and we even know that they're still alive because they put out a small-scale game just to remember the feeling of publishing something.

Wait, we do?

i think he was talking about EGS, and we know what they are doing: Territoir

the question is: are they really working on P4? Is the problem that the work is progressing too slowly? Or is it some other issue, like legal quarrels? If it's the latter, they could still work on a P5.

After all, we have been told that CF is unable or not allowed to work on any other project while Project Four is still extant. This state of affairs appears to be continuing for the indefinite future.

We have? Where? All i can remember is speculation about it, as why there is no word at all about project 5.

SpaceDrake, can we get a comment about the "slightly over a week at most" you posted over 2 weeks ago? even if it's a "sorry it didn't work out, black magic is at work here. i can't say anything else because any date i say will be missed anyway"

Just found this article: http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/16/pandoras-tower-coming-to-north-america-in-spring-2013/

That's another XSEED localization, slated for spring 2013 release.

Hat-tip to the Caves of Narshe forums.

I highly doubt this is P4, since the game came out quite some time ago in Europe, there isn't much left to localize for North America. Definitely not long enough to occupy CF for over a year.

^^ I thought this was just one of the many minigames featured in Real Life.

Curse real life and its endless minigames. And so full of bugs, how did this pile of junk ever make it out of beta?

it may be a horrible game, but you have to admit: the graphics are simply amazing

So uh, sorry gang. :-X It's blueballs all the way down!

I honestly thought that everything Would Be Decided today, but various forces at work have called for just a little more time. So, here we are.

This really is just a temporary delay-of-game, though; slightly over a week at most. Things are, one way or another, coming to a head on this project and decisions are going to have to be made.

And another deadline that was missed... I wish i could say i was surprised *sigh*

Let's just hope this deadline is more definite than the one "around TGS"

Quite moderately more definitive.

Anyway, news is absolutely coming next week. One way or another.

if it's good or bad news, i'd rather have any news at all. And IF it's bad news at least you guys could probably finally start working on P5 (if you haven't already anyway)
