A debate requires people to allow their opinion to move in one direction or another. I've never seen anyone change their opinion on this matter therefore I'm not sure it even is actually possible to debate.

I don't support games companies removing content for westernization. I never will, and that will never change.

Ultimately I should of just ignored that dude, and for that I apologize.

Even if it already had good standing with the outside community, what do I give a damn? I don't care what people think of me and my hobbies and if you're seriously concerned about then A. You should find something besides anime to like because that's already screwed and B. Get over it. Seriously. Unless your in middle school and are all like "OH NO! MY FRIENDS WILL LEAVE ME BECAUSE I R TEH NEEERDZ" then it shouldn't even matter to you.

I never expect CF or anyone else to bring Touhou over, I was never saying that.

This thread was after Recettear's success and was closer to FS's release.

I am but a soul passively waiting. I can understand you and some of the others are quite burned out by  all this waiting and I would be to if I was actively waiting for something, anything to be announced.

Also I'm not sure what drive you're talking about? Games are still coming to the U.S. be it via NISA, Akysy's or other indies if you want them, as well fan-translations of unlicensed stuff like Kamidori Alchemy Master (which I have been enjoying greatly).

EDIT: But in all serious note, ZUN will never give The Touhous to the gaijins. This has been stated.

Which is really his pathetically bad move, considering it would make him quite some coin and until he does us Gaijains will just get it how we do anyway.

I'm worried about Cherry Tree High Comedy Club now. I've been waiting for it to come out on Steam to get it. Just how Americanized is it?

Protagonist who has the ability to walk from her dorm, to her school, to the "market district", to the movie theater, to the dock with a museum,to the shrine, to in front of the house that is clearly eastern built:

Protagonist: "Man it sure is weird having this shrine in the middle of America"
Shrine Maiden: "Ya it was a gift from so and so after a thing happened"

It's a video game. Enjoy it. Just relax, and enjoy the video game. You do not need to get frustrated out of your mind to play a video game. It's meant to be fun.

I don't. I want to write comics at some point but it'll probably never happen. I've never really written anything professionally.

Unlike about 95% of people who attempt to go for anime style art in the west, yours actually hits the mark quite well.

I feel like the battles would look better (especially with your or whoever is doing the art) with animated sprites, but that might not be possible in the engine your using. (Also note, the enemies wouldn't need to be sprites, I just the characters would benefit from it). 

All in all, it looks very interesting. This could turn out to be quite nice from what I see.

1. the main protagonist can transform
2. evil organization
4. Scarf of Asskicking

Those are really just common anime action tropes

But you probably already knew that, seeing as how you called out the last by name. Oh writers and our undying love of T.V. tropes.

I guess maybe the scarf thing does hit Kamin Rider on the head the most, though I've never actually watched it, but boy do scarfs appear often. Even in Mahjong anime Saki.

So I'm not sure if you can answer this question, but you make it sound as if it's getting simultaneous release in Japan and America. Is that actually a thing or is it done and released in Japan?

It's from 1993, thats before Eva.

Ah that explains a lot then. I didn't get into anime until around 2010 and can't watch much past 2004 because the arm because the art becomes so far away from what I'm into.

Cafe Sourire: I'm going off mostly the art for this one. It's a dating-sim (eroge? I've been told? I assume no much more so though then Katawa Shoujou). In light of the recent dating sim game Analogue being released on Steam maybe this is slightly more possible then I thought, but also not a project I would expect Cape Fulgur to do.

The Idol Master/Nendoroid Generation: These will never ever happen. Because Namco Bandai. Also Nendoroid generations mad amount of licensing, even going threw all of that would in it self be a harder game then "Dark Souls" and "I wanna be the Guy" combined.
