Pac-man DX has been released on Xbox Live Arcade and Windows Phone, so I guess it was an obvious, next logical step to take.
As for Ace Combat, I have no comment since I've never played this. I guess it's better than nothing.

Dunno, I personally think dressed as Tear would be more amusing.

Thank you for ruining my day with mental image that this sentence has produced in my mind as I read it. Now I need some brain bleach.

You guys really can't even present an acceptable counter-argument other than "Get over it". The AO rating is also false, as it was confirmed by NISA themselves that they never sent it in for a rating without the game intact.

You can't argue with common sense...well, that's all there's to it. Really, we can't get everything, some stuff has to be edited or cut to satisfy higherups so consumers will actually get to play with the product itself. A necessary sacrifice if you like.
At least those kind of cuts aren't as ridiculous as before (invisible smokes, all crosses were cut off from US release of La Pucelle Tactics).

Also, multiple rating submissions cost money. I guess NISA knew it didn't make sense to send uncensored version to rating board when they were positivie it won't get an M or lower.

I have a good feeling they lost more customers than they gained by cutting it out, if pre-order numbers are anything to go by.

Still better than having no customers at all due to game itself being banned because of AO rating.
For crying out loud guys, get the fuck over it already.
You aren't getting bathing mini-game action because media moms don't like this. This won't change. Ever. Move on.

OK guys, let's go back to Earth now.
IDOLM@STER in english is not happening, unless you're willing to pay 100 USD for the game itself, and then even more monthly for DLC

The only reasonably way I could see it released, is by Namco itself kickstarting this just to see how much the fans are willing to pay to get this. For all we know, this could only get few thousand backers and $ collected could be barely a 6-figure ammount.
And even then, not voicing anyone, just doing text translation, which obviously Namco wouldn't do.

If it's licensing hell they've been going through for so long, then nothing short of The IDOLM@STER will satisfy me.

Upotte is just yet another Four Girls Ensemble kind of thing that's been popular as of late.
Nothing really stands out there.

I'm not really waiting for this game either.....and I'm pretty sure now SpaceDrake regrets that they didn't decide to hire some help and translate something else at the same time so they could show that they're active/not dead (or did they?)
There's no "best before" date we could hold on to either (like with TGS), at least not relatively close.
December 21st (everyone knows what I'm talking about, I hope)
December 29th-31st (Winter Comiket)
January 31st 2013 (1-year anniversary of Fortune Summoners release)

The thing that makes me want to doubt that P4 is Trails in the Sky SC is that it would be -really stupid- for XSeed to not tell people it's coming out.

They announced Ys: Oath of Felghana for PC a week before release.
Then that Ys: Origin is coming later, which again got later announced with proper release date a week before it.

^ funny you should mention that, as I happened to find out about this yesterday. Flipping that could be a bit of a chore compared to regular table though.

As for the topic at hand....sigh. Well, not sure if I have right to complain about stuff like this, because I'm probably already seen as an ungrateful-bastard-that-does-nothing-but-bitch-and-moan-on-what-Carpe-Fulgur-is-doing-because-he-clearly-knows-how-to-handle-the-situation-in-best-possible-way-and-Carpe-Fulgur-team-are-clueless-in-every-aspect-of-it (despite the fact that I supported CF by purchasing every game they released so far) , but...*sigh*, it probably needs to be said anyway.

With how the situation is handled so far, as a consumer I have no point in waiting now, this is like Retro City Rampage all over again.... and this shit just got released after a long stall and pointless teasing. Except that this time, we don't even know what game is it. Maybe it is for better so we wouldn't get another RCR scenario, I don't know what's worse.
Spacedrake has said multiple times, that if this game would be announced, it would recieve some serious positive attention (not exact words, just the meaning).

Seeing as:
-Project Four has been announced in July or June 2011, maybe even earlier as I recall existence of both this and Project Three (soon later to be revealed to be Fortune Summoners) has been announced at the same time, when Chantelise got definitive release date. Can't confirm that because tweets don't go that far back (or I just have no patience in scrolling through them). Either way, no "regular" sized game would take this long to translate (then again, what do I know, it's just one translator and one editor in the team, big companies could just have dozens of translators and two or three similary minded editors to get the job done faster, though I guess that having one editor would make script much more consistent).

-XSEED is trying to push for PC market

-Andrew Dice of Carpe Fulgur was featured in Special Thanks part of credits in Ys: Oath of Felghana (how many Andrew Dices are in the world that were born that are 28/29 (happy bday btw), live in Portland, Oregon and on top of that are fans of Ys games (or anything Falcom related) and have their own localization company?)

-Andrew Dice teased about partnering with one out of four localization companies this year, one of which was XSEED.

-This topic exists (see half of page 1 and then a bit further).

..then you just might as well admit that you've been contacted to work with XSEED on translating Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter for PC (and PSP?), and maybe are also helping out with PC release of FC. (If it really isn't TitS related, then I have no fucking clue what else could possible cause so much Fan-gasm if announced).

NDAs may be NDAs, but if you've actually gotten to work on some cool japanese indie games that nobody knows about, you'd be close to releasing Project Five by now and been drinking to possible success of Project Four A for a while now.

I hope that XSEED your partners will read this entire topic and rethink their PR strategy, because that secrecy is clearly not doing them anything good.

So you mean on December 21?

No, no. This one is more of a "local" issue.
Sun probably doesn't give a shit about december 21st....it probably even doesn't know what december is.

Soon After TGS Is Over

Which translates to "anytime between Now and Death of Our Sun".

Seeing as Namco-Bandai doesn't ever bother to do dual audio and for some reason, NISA is capable of doing this every time, it really makes one wonder about that.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that Lizsoft has completly forsaken this game and has no intention to fix any bugs related to it.

Which is a major shame especially since it asks some heavy money for this game.

As much as I like Idolmaster, I think Idolmaster would be one of the last things to get a release...unless subtitled releases become a thing.

I would imagine that it's probably horribly difficult to localize all the songs into English, and that's like half the point of the series.  And then there's the difficulty of finding appropriate singers to dub them...

I didn't say anything about releasing this in english.

It will never happen for 2 basic reasons:
1. Licensing nightmare due to songs (which are mostly independant).
2. Namco has a stupid standard of dubbing everything, there are only rare exceptions when namco leaves original Japanese audio intact (the only one I can recall atm is Tekken 5, where japanese characters talked in their own language, but that was probably done for character depth).
