Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale / Lose all my Pix after going to the Adventurer's Guild

After I go to any of the dungeons, and come back successfully I seem t loose all my Pix. I played this game before but my computer's hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall Recettear on a new computer. This is the the first time this has happened to me. Any ideas why this is happening?
