I like it. It definitely has the feel of that song in there, but I would suggest cleaning it up a bit.  The post before me mentions the gripes I have with the clip.

Broken Lamp is something you need to give to your father eventually.

The other two, no clue.

It's impossible.

Maybe I can do no equipment or no marks of heroism... but I sure as hell can't do both at the same time.  My damage just isn't high enough.

I was thinking something simple like... not collecting any marks of heroism.  So I'll perpetually be capped at lvl 3.  I can't avoid not lvling up since some enemies are flat out unavoidable, not to mention bosses.  I dunno if this is possible or not, but I'm going to give it a shot soon.  I'll start out at expert.

I beat the game already, so I still can get some special moves from Arche's book of sword skills.  So I'll still have leap thrust and stuff.

Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone / Re: Soundtrack?

Since one does not exist on the internet, I support this topic.

I, too, will throw some more money at CF if this comes to fruition.  I can't imagine it's terribly hard or expensive to release a soundtrack.

I know, I know, two suggestions within a week.  However, this is a game series I've grown to love.  You can try the first game, Lethal Application on the daisessen website for absolutely free.  I would suggest localizing Lethal Application if it wasn't for the fact that the game was released publicly for absolutely free ever since a few years ago.  Not to mention, I have a very shoddy translation of Lethal Application handy.

Lethal Crisis and Lethal Crisis Protosphere, however, are both games that have been mostly ignored by the masses.  In fact, I actually bought and own a hard copy of Lethal Crisis, since no copy of it exists on the interwebs.  Since Himeyashop and Paletweb are pretty much destroyed due to the TSA regulations, Protosphere is no longer within my grasp.  You can try the demo for the game on the daisessen website, protosphere plays very much like a roguelike in a sense.

Lethal Crisis is very much an action game.  You have an energy bar and everything aside from walking and jumping uses energy.  There is also a flight mechanic (also known as the vernier thrusters) that uses energy.  Energy is replenished whenever you stop using energy and you can equip modifications and different modules for different weapons, etc.  There's objectives in game where if you complete them, you unlock more modules or increase your energy capacity or life capacity.

The game also features a burst mode system... where if you hold a button down, you'll enter "burst mode".  Basically it refills your life, gives you two mirror images of yourself (think fortune summoners) that copy your moves, energy refills much faster, and your life bar depletes over time... rapidly.  This mode lasts until you either die or beat whatever level you're in.

The graphics can stand to be better at times, and it is a bit low on production value... soundtracks are reused... but look into it... it's a fun little game with a pretty epic storyline.  Both games are available as demos on their website... go try it...

I also know NOBODY owns the license for any of Daisessen games because the game is pretty much under radar.

I will be attempting a low level no equipment run and I am considering recording this run for purposes of uploading it on youtube.

What difficulty should I play at?

General Discussion / Re: Localization Suggestion: Princess Maker

Those are all potential endings in Princess Maker 2

Princess Maker 4 doesn't include endings like that, for the most part.  Most of the controversial jobs like Cabaret and sleazy was replaced with Maid Bar and Cosplay Cafe.

In other words, there's not much to worry about in PM4... PM2... yeah... worry :V

I think the problem is CF convincing Gainax to even consider CF seriously... among funding to actually buy the license.  The other worry is that PM4 has, I believe, professional voice acting.  This might cost big $$$$ to get the rights for.  Yet, that hasn't stopped CF from choosing alternatives.

As for issues with PM4, the only issue is that it features underage girls (like that was ever a problem for CF) and you can still marry your adoptive daughter (which might be a problem).

Otherwise, I don't see much in the terms of content problems.  PM4 doesn't have any nudity in it unlike PM2, but the freedom of PM2 is not in PM4.  For example, you can't work your daughter to death, it's just not possible.  The game, however, features a variety of in game events that need to be triggered to get different endings.  Not to mention your daughter is an oh so adorable blondie.

I doubt any contributions will help in obtaining this endeavor but... *passes hat around*

Hm... Gainax huh? Oh well, it was worth a shot.  It's a shame because the series probably won't ever be translated at this rate...

General Discussion / Localization Suggestion: Princess Maker
« on: February 06, 2012, 02:18:31 PM »
I know this is a really long stretch.  The people responsible for the localization of the second game went bankrupt, and as far as I know, there are no plans to localize any of the other Princess Maker games.  Princess Maker 4 is currently on PC and has been out for several years... as far as I know, again, no english companies has the license to localize the game.

It's a long stretch because I don't know if it's licensed or not and I'm not even sure if CF is willing to do a non-indie game title.  Getting the license for the game might cost a lot of money since they have a PSP and DS version of the game (As well as PC).

It's just a suggestion, I would adore a CF released localization of PM if it was possible.

you gain the saint's brooch behind the locked door you can only open with the randomized code you get after beating the game.

I haven't the faintest idea where to find the chainmail.
