Chante
Chante was born a human, but was transformed into a fairy by what the sisters believe to be a witch. She does not find this state of affairs particularly agreeable, so she travels with Elise in search of a cure, which she suspects will only come in the form of a confrontation with the witch who cast the curse in the first place. Although she claims to be the older sister of the two, sometimes you have to wonder, given how she acts...

Her transformation has given her one advantage: she is now extremely proficient at attack magic, and uses it to assist Elise in a variety of ways.

Elise
The hero of our story, Elise has set out on a journey to restore her sister to her previous human form. She is honest, forthright and generally clear-headed, and also adores cute things; this translates into secretly being perfectly satisfied that her sister is a fairy. She's also a bit of a long-suffering young woman, though, as she's usually on the receiving end of both Chante's pranks... and the angry reactions of other victims of such.

She wields a greatsword she acquired during her adventures that surprises many people, given her slim figure.

Aira
The gentle owner of the item shop of the town in which Chante and Elise find themselves, Aira offers to help the sisters in their quest any way she can. She sells them helpful items and also provides them a place to stay while they're in town. While she seems outwardly happy, at times one cannot help but notice an air of melancholy around her...

Elma
Elma is an extremely famous fortune-teller; she is known as far as Pensee and beyond for the extreme accuracy of her insights into people's lives and futures. And, despite her youthful appearance (and height), any of the town's residents will tell you that she's lived there for years, although nobody can quite remember exactly when she moved in to her "mansion of fortune-telling".

Her first encounter with Chante and Elise is odd, as she seems openly hostile for some reason. Could she be?...

But then, what would be her motive?...
